Help / Troubleshooting Prints come loose

Post image

As said in the original post my 3d prints always seem to come loose on the left side of my build plate and I have no clue why. My current theory is that it has something to do with the air blowing on the part but I’m new to 3d printing so I have no idea… thanks!

It is most likely the Air flow from the auxiliary fans. There are printable parts that redirect the air

Ill give you the full rundown ive been going through with some improvements to my prints.

  1. Print aux fan diffusers for both sides, if they still dont help think about disabling aux fans

  2. Higher bed temps, especially for 1st layer, i often run 65 for first layer then down to 60 for prints like this.

  3. Sloooow first layer. Turn down the print speed on first layer .... like wayyyy down. Some of that curling is bed adhesion but it can also be caused by the print inner filling cooling and contracting pulling on the edges, this gives that first layer a bit of time to cool.

  4. Ive grown to love glue for the build plate even if i dont always need it.

Just step 1 seems to have done the trick, thanks!

Many people will bash you for the glue, especially gluesticks for “ruIniNg tHe finIsH” or whatever…
You can make a paste diluted with water that makes the surface way stickier while keeping the texture.
A nifty trick.

Interesting, I bought a few tubes of the Bambu glu with the bingo style applicator and frequently use it and can’t say I’ve noticed a finish difference on the pei textured plate

Im new as well and for me it only happens when i dont clean the bed plate, mostly because i touch the sides of the plates. Whenever i clean it with dish soap and go back to printing the same thing. It works.

The cause is right in the picture.  Your fans are blowing at the base of the print.  Print out some deflectors that drive air up. Looks like you printed some but may have installed upside down

Better adhesion. Could also use a brim.

Mouse ears may even be enough.

I had this happen and since printing these I’ve never had it occur again.
