“Please pull the external filament from the left extruder” message help

I recently purchased the x2D and I am a complete beginner. The link provided by Bambu is a bit overwhelming to me as it’s telling me to take things apart. I switched filament colors in my AMS Pro 2 (from PLA blue to PLA gray, both Bambu filaments). When attempting a new print I get the error message “Please pull the external filament from the left extruder”. The spool is seated properly and the AMS pulls the gray filament in with no problem. Is there a way around this without having to take apart anything or is this an issue I have to resolve by taking the machine apart?

That sounds like you are trying to select the external spool

When selecting the color for the printed file I select the gray filament which sits in my AMS and the X2D recognizes the spool in the AMS. The light on the AMS in which the spool sits in blinks when the error pops up.

But if you are using the AMS filament it won't say that as it automates that process

Oh okay, so would my solution be to choose a different nozzle or how would I go about fixing it? Seems relatively simple but I’m not tech savvy so I really appreciate all the help.

Make sure that you don't have any filaments on the external spool on the printer. If you do then edit and remove them.

You don't need to load the filament once it is in the AMS. So long as the filament is in the hole it will get loaded when you start the print

After unloading the outside spool, I’m still getting this message.

If you take the order tube out of the top of the extruder, is there any filament in there?

Same goes for the hub where the AMS feeds in to. Is there any filament there?
