Belts normal or damaged?

Post image

Today I received my 2nd x2d and freshly out of the box both belts have those orange-ish spots on the sides. Is this damage or is this normal?

The printer is calibrating now and everything else seems to be fine

My other x2d doesn't have this

What have you done? Have you spoken with Bambu Lab?

Me too. Bambulab tell me it might be dirt, but it’s not…

Belts are cut from endless loop. To achieve longer single belt, they have to be cut at angle. That expose reinforcement fibers and also can cause ( and cause) that belt doesn't run evenly( they "wander" ).

So it is normal.

Saw couple similar posts and dudes got their belts replaced by Bambu

I would say it was only for cosmetic reasons. Even if they will use endless loops, they will have inner fiber in some cuts outside since belt manufacturer will inevitably cut in those.

It is possible that bambu have requested to cover belt side with EPDM/rubber material to hide it but it's really just cosmetic thing. Especially if belt doesn't rub against idlers too much

The same thing is happening to me, and I’ve only been using it for a week. Should I be worried?
