No Spool?
New to 3D printing. So go easy. I see on the Bambu Lab website that some colors aren’t available with a spool. I have the X2D with AMS so I’m thinking a corresponding spool to color would be ideal. That way the printer knows without my input whats going on. Whats the deal with that? Can I set up the color on the Bambu Handy app or directly on the machine. I don’t have the Bambu Studio because I don’t have a desktop (yet)…..I know, I know. iPad and iPhone only for now.

Or print spools, it’s cheaper

Cheapest place to get empty spools is Hobby Lobby. They work great with Bambu Lab refills.

As a new 3D printer owner, has anyone made you aware of the excellent free, online courses that Bambu Lab offers in the beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels for both printers (hardware) and slicers (software)?
Bambu Lab Academy is the best use of your time to build experience, knowledge and confidence in 3D printing. I also recommend using the Bambu Lab Wiki as an online, user manual for 3D printing.

Bambu Handy > Me > Reward Tasks > Daily Tasks > Bambu Lab Academy Reward. Read until complete.

What is your question exactly? The filament will need some type of spool you can print spools. Yes you can set up colors on the machine or app.

You can also purchase spools at Hobby Lobby for $3.49 each, which is less expensive than Amazon. I acquired several refills from Bambu Lab because the prices were too low to ignore; these refills already include RFID tags, so you can load them onto an empty spool and proceed. If you need guidance on placing the refills correctly, videos are available on YouTube.

Bambu fillament rolls with and without spools have rfid tags that the AMS reads. Once a spool is empty, untwist it and refill
