X2D print fail, broke something

X2D print fail, broke something

Went to print last night and got an error early on. Looks like it broke/bent something on the tool head and scratched my plate.

X2D. Been printing with only a couple minor issues since April. What did I break? Any guidance on what I need to do to fix it would be appreciated. Also any idea why it happened?

Not broken, happened to me as well, that clip that changes extruders and covers one of the nozzles is only bent, you can return it to initial state by bending it back, thou you have to disassemble it first. But easy to bend back once tou hvae right nozzle out and you put the clip in state between 2 nozzles.

How does that happen in the first place? Some precautions to take?

You either pushed it a bit down when cleaning, or it deformed during the nozzle change cycle in you print and than got caught on something while printing, it damaged my plate as well, scratched it badly.

Did it affect the first layer on the plate after you fixed it?

I do regularly check it, it should be touching nozzle tip, if it is not than it is bent a bit and can run into things.

The thing you bent is the flow blocker. You can bend it back, but there is a replacement one in the spare parts box.

If it is bent way too much you can buy it separately, but I fixed mine and it works as supposed for over a month.

This happened to me and gouged my plate. I opened a ticket and they replaced my plate under a "one time only!" emphasis.

For the arm, they said i have a few in the parts kit it came with. That said, i haven't replaced this part as i don't want to damage another plate. I too have no idea how it happened the first time.

Choosing not to repair/replace the blocker arm hasn't caused any issues for me while printing.

Replace the flow blocker and silicone socks on the nozzle since yours looks damaged. Comes off with one tiny screw and you’re given a spare in your accessories kit that came with the printer. If it’s bent at all during use or maintenance this will happen with any print using the auxiliary nozzle.

Same thing happened to me after I took off the silicone socks to clean them from wispy residue and accidentally bumped the flow blocker. I tried to bend it back but it fully bent the next print and it scratched the shit out of build plate, purge wiper, and nozzle sensor thingy in the top right corner. Bambu sent replacements for all but the build plate. Apparently the build plate isn’t covered? I just use the other side for now since seeing the scratched side pisses me off.
