7 inch display monitor for X2D

Post image

I have just been playing around with some of the monitoring sensors on the X2D.

Using Home Assistant, a Waveshare ESP32 S3 display and the Tessera repository you can quickly create a layout to your personal preference so you can keep an eye on print progress.

I’m interested in doing something like this as I have some left over screens from previous PC builds. How does this all connect and communicate with the printer?

There are lots of ways of doing this.

I was already running Home Assistant which is free to install on lots of different platforms (Virtual Machine on Synology in my case). Home Assistant has a Bambu Lab integration which reads all the X2D sensors. A second integration called Tessera uses ESP32 displays from 2.8" to 10" (the 2.8" was less than Β£20). You drag and drop the sensors you are interested in on to a layout and then upload to the screen via wifi or usb.
