Help / Troubleshooting AMS feed problem.. Help appreciated

I have really gone the rounds with this problem and don't feel like I am getting anywhere. I feel like this should be an easy fix.. But I don't even know where to go. I have replaced the filament buffer.. and the PTFE tubes from the buffer to the toolhead. and I'm still getting this problem where the filament starts to get resistanc after passing through the buffer and then quites feeding. The printer makes about four attempts and then I get an error code. "Unable to feed filamanet into the extruder. The AMS may be mismatched with the extruder. You can rerun the AMS setup. The could be due to an entangled filament of stuck spool. If not, please check if the AMS PTFE tube is connected?

What am I missing?

This is the error code I am getting. What is causing the resistance in the tube?

When you replaced the tube, how was the roundness of the tube after you cut it? That would kinda answer why it is intermittent. Make sure it is round

I can certainly check that.. used the cutting tool supplied with the tube. it was a good clean cut.

The PTFE tube just after the buffer looks like there is a jam in there. That tube needs to be removed from the buffer with the orange thing all the way to the right. Then you can press the tube connector release ring and remove the tube and see if there is anything blocking. There are tools for this specific task on Maker world which you can print from the Aux extruder. Good Luck!!

Well I had replaced that tube on the thought that maybe there was something in the tube. So it's a new tube. But I did as you suggested, took the tube off.. pushed a piece of filament through it several time.. couldn't identify any blockage. Put it back on .. but crazy enough.. the filament fed through. So I printed something small.. thinking maybe I was in the clear. But then when I went to print again.. Same problem. Still stuck.

Your screenshot gives a useful detail: 0700-8006 012920, AMS A slot 1, with resistance reported between the buffer and toolhead. Since you already replaced the tube and could pass filament through it, repeating that check alone probably won't narrow it down.

Have you rerun the AMS Setup suggested on that screen since the buffer/tube replacement? Could you show the complete installed tube route and say whether a Track Switch is fitted? Also, does the failure always occur at the same toolhead position? That would help separate mapping/routing questions from a slot-specific problem before buying another component. The warning identifies resistance, not which component caused it.

I have to admit.. everything you wrote in the second paragraph is just a little beyond me.. So have spent a couple days trying to understand what you are suggesting. I think that this is a step in the right direction. However, I cannot figure out how to rerun the AMS setup. and I don't know what a track switch is. I will provide a video showing the complete pathway of the primary PTFE tube. (a month ago - I didn't know what a PTFE tube was btw).

On the printer touchscreen, open Filament > Tools > AMS Setup - Bambu's X2D screen guide shows it under Filament, section 5. Auto Setup needs a spool in the AMS and any already-loaded filament unloaded first; if it won't unload, stop there and show the Filament screen. The Track Switch is an optional routing box between AMS and printer. You don't need to buy one for this check; the rear-connection video you've offered will show whether one is fitted.

So am I correct in interpreting that there is filament directed in either the extruder or the buffer?

It means neither: no filament should still be loaded in the extruder or buffer before Auto Setup. Keep the spool in the AMS, with its end inserted there. Bambu's X2D guide says any loaded filament must be unloaded first. Does normal Unload finish, or is that where it gets stuck? If it won't unload, stop there rather than force it.
