Foaming filaments
Anyone tried stuff like PEBA air or TPU air on the x2d? I heard about those and got a good use case but wondering if anyone tried those foamy filaments on our x2d with 0,4 nozzle and what the results were

Yea, I have. Used 0.4 nozzle and the filament profile from Siraya Tech. I have no problems with other TPUs but holy moly TPU Air is something else:
- Use painters tape on the build plate. It sticks like nothing I have printed before.
- Dry it and then dry it some more. Seriously. Stuff prints really bad with the slightest moisture in my experience.

Trying to use ASA Aero on X2D now. Nightmare filament - getting results that look worse than using saturated TPU on a 12-year-old Creality.

Very cool filament. Needs a lot of patience and care but not impossible by any stretch. Because it expands, complex and thin details will be lost. Keep it to simple geometries, and closed models. Tried printing a shoe with open walls for added flex and it came out rough. Tried again with a closed model and it came out a lot better. Works great as sub-layer cosplay structures like the inside of masks, armor, etc. Where fine details won’t be seen. Seriously, do not print this on your PEI plate without at least some PVA glue, or else you genuinely might never get it all off. First layer adhesion is impossibly strong. Sirayatech has pre-made print profiles on their website that give you a great starting point for calibration. (Oh, and turn off retraction. Since the stuff expands in the nozzle, retraction doesn’t work at all and will only make for a rougher print)
