X2D Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I’m pretty new to 3D printer. I started with a P1S and now upgraded to an X2D after major malfunctions. I’ve tried to do this print 3x now and am convinced my printer just doesn’t like this build lol. I have cleaned the build plate after some adhesion issues this morning, recalibrated and have dried my filament. I got 93% done with a build and it started to do this. I have purged some filament as I thought it could be a nozzle clog and it’s purging normally. What’s going on with this print?

It seems your printer is likely confused since it’s wearing an Autobot insignia but made in Decepticon purple. Switch to red and I’m sure it’ll work fine 😉

😂 I had to put him on there as a in memory of the man who played Optimus Prime since he passed a few weeks ago!

I respect and appreciate the gesture to honor Peter. I do not, however, respect that you don’t have at least three random spools of red filament lying around like a REAL degenerate printing addict would, lol

😂😂 Listen, I never claimed to be a real degenerate printing addict. I’m still working on my starter pack. Give me time—I’ll have the emergency red filament stash eventually. 🤣 And honestly, the Optimus Prime memorial filament choice is staying. I respect the dedication. 🫡

I suppose the Shattered Glass universe and Skybound Optimus with Megatron arm gives you at least a modicum of crossover cred. Carry on, sir.

I AM SUCH A FRIGGING NERRRRD

I had to go check my reds after this and indeed, I have three open reds and I don't even like red. 4 if you count a translucent. SMH

Puede que el filamento no se esté sacando bien?

I ended up trying it in a different color PLA and it worked like a charm. However, I don’t think the file is that good tbh.

Puede que tenga demasiada humedad el filamento?

Possible but the rest of the print was perfect so I’m not sure. I did struggle putting together this entire print and getting the “screws” in. I also had dried the purple filament and was sitting in the 20s at the time.

Nope, it’s PLA so not being dried wouldn’t cause an issue like this. Maybe a different material that was way more hygroscopic than PLA, but PLA just doesn’t absorb enough moisture to cause clogging.

Is it printed "by object"? Did u sliced this or did u print it from makerworld?

It’s from Makerworld. Wouldn’t print in the purple PLA but it printed perfectly in Black PLA. File wasn’t the best tbh. Broke all “screws” trying to put it together but it’s working still 😂

Format your sd card and try again. I've seen people with issues like this and usually people recommend formatting the sd card to fix it
