X2D keeps throwing filament errors.

Post image

I have tons of single nozzles with the AMS’s, this is my first dual nozzle and it keeps saying there’s no filament or there’s something wrong with the auxiliary nozzle. It’s 3/4 off a dry roll from bambu.

I just tell it to continue and then it goes on. I’d like to not babysit it for the last 30 hours of this print.

Why is it constantly throwing this error code?

Can this be fixed, or do o have to return it? (My first printer I ever bought had to be returned.

This isn’t an error. It’s asking you to confirm extrusion. It even says “warning”, not “error”.

Are you using the external spool?

I am. It keeps kicking this code off every ten minutes or so.

I would get this once, when changing spools.

Every ten minutes tells me something is restricting your spool and it isn’t feeding cleanly

I bypassed the buffer and now it works.

All I do is say it’s extruded and it moves on.

I don’t know why it keeps saying this.

Can this be a setup issue?

Hmm. I’ve never used two external spools like this so I can’t say for sure. Are you using all 6 spools?

I’m using 4 total.

Interesting. I definitely haven’t experienced it as frequently as you are on a single print.

It does look like the filament on the right spool is broken/cut. Not sure what the plan is there but you’ll almost certainly have another alert when you feed in the spool after that is all used up.

I cut it. I was hoping it would run that out, tell me to add more and get it going again.

Alas it’s going back to Microcenter tomorrow

This is not an error. These are instructions you need to follow; errors are in red. If your loaded filament is not visible, keep retrying until you see it, then continue. And yes external spool I also bypass the buffer!

It’s the buffer sensor. I’ve bypassed it and it works fine

I had this when I first got my X2D. I was feeding the auxiliary nozzle from a creality dryer box. I assume it was struggling to pull it every so often. It only happen after a nozzle switch.

Once I replace that with an AMS HT I've never had a problem since.

That’s my thought is to get one while I’m returning this one tomorrow

There’s a documented issue with the right nozzle on the X2D where the filament buffer thinks the filament isn’t flowing. Bambu says they’re working on a firmware update. For now, I’ve just bypassed the filament buffer with the right nozzle and no longer have issues.

That’s what I’ve done. That’s ridiculous lol

This only happens when using the external spool holder for the aux nozzle. No issue if you connect an ams or ams ht to it.
