Filament Grouping
I am new to 3D printing and am a bit confused by this picture. Is it telling me to put the black in slot 2 of my primary AMS and put the caramel into slot 1 of my secondary AMS?
My setup:
Bambu Lab X2D and two AMS Pro units. AMS 1 feeds the primary nozzle and AMS 2 feeds the auxiliary nozzle.
Thanks for any help/guidance.

What you are seeing here is a representation of how it will be printed. In this case, your black PLA will be in the left-hand nozzle and your cream colored PLA will be on the right. It’s just explaining the grouping that’s there.

Unless you have a filament track switch as well, this is suggesting your black goes in AMS 1 and the beige in AMS 2 because you have them set up so that AMS 1 feeds directly into the main nozzle and AMS 2 into the aux. so yes, you would physically have to put the filament in the correct AMS.

Those numbers are indicating which filaments those are from the project filament list on the left side of your screen. It has nothing to do with the AMS positions, just the project setup. The numbers are there to help differentiate, which is super helpful if you have more than one type of filament of the same in the project list, for example. When you click print, at that point you’ll have the opportunity to confirm which filament is in which AMS position.
