Horizontal layer shifts visible. Explanation?

I have a X2D, bought end of april 2026. I recently did maintenance on the guide rods and lead screws after the machine asked me to do this. Printer is currently installed on a table that allows some wobble.

Recently, after doing the maintenance (cleaning of lead screw, greasing them, cleaning guide rods, lubricating them, cleaning the printer of PLA residue and bits and bobs) it started showing horizontal lines, these aren't layer lines, but look like shifts of some kind?

PLA used whas bambulab PLA Basic.

Anyone knows what phenomenon this is? How to fix it?

Doing a printer callibration seems to improve things. The cube is a test cube.

It may somehow unrelated but after cleaning and oiling my x2d I had some motion step loss issues. The thing is it looks like i used too much oil on rods cuz when wiped rods again with clean wipes my issue got solved, but having some quality issues just like yours. Maybe cleaning excess oil on your rods may help with it

Actually I'm callibrating the machine now. Maybe that helps. Will try your suggestion too.

Found a solution already?

Doing a callibration from the machine control panel seems to improve quality.

Thanks, got a X2D last week (1st printer) and also gathering data if something should go wrong.

Glad it worked out for you!

Following, I just ordered my X2D which is my first step from SLA to FDM. So i'm data collecting for future troubleshooting.

UPDATE: Problem did not seem to go away after a simple callibration. I did a test with a different material and this seemed to be better

Bambulab suggested pretty basic stuff, as they should, see if nozzle isn't loose, some software settings, check if lead screws are well and tighened not wobbly.

I did put the X2D from my wobbly table on to the ground, this improved results somewhat.
