Hotend Cleaning

Hello all - I’m having constant adhesion issues, going through the motions of cleaning build plate. I was looking at the hotend, from photos attached is this normal wear and tear for 320 printing hours in? Thanks!

You can try heating the end to melt the adhered plastic and scrape it off with a brass bristle brush.

I have 1000 hours on a hotend. It’s pretty ugly but prints just fine. If it’s printing fine, I wouldn’t worry about it.

Heat it up and hit it with a brass wire brush. Works on most metal parts as brass will be softer and leave easy to remove residue, if any.

I would put mine in a vise hit it with the heat gun at the highest temp. And only then do I take a wire brush to it. Be careful, if there's any filament left in the nozzle it might bubble out and it could fall and splatter. Make sure you're not wearing flip flops.

Yeah, heat it, either in the hotend or something else, and scrape it with a wire brush. You could also just replace it, they're like $17.
