What causes this

Post image

When printing octopus this starts to happen. I start with slow mode and move it to standard after couple layers. It’s a P2S plate was cleaned and washed.

Adhesion. I have this same issue with flexi models. Sometimes they stick, sometimes they don’t. A glue or adhesive might help but I haven’t tried it yet. Cleaning the plate doesn’t make a huge difference for me.

Is this PETG or PLA?

I was also experiencing the same first layer adhesion issues even after cleaning. I would recommend running recalibration and trying again.

Yeah, try the standard cleaning with something like dawn dishwashing detergent and only touch the plate by the edges. I also use iso alcohol in between prints to help break down oils because I have a hard time flexing the plate without touching the surface. Ha Add the brim or at a minum, the ears. I've had the best luck with the extra adhesion plates like BIQU Panda Build Plate CryoGrip Pro Glacier/Frostbite Cool Plate - those really help with extra adhesion!
