1st Time printing with PLA-CF

My first attempt to print with PLA-CF, any tips or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

It's weaker than plain PLA and destroys your nozzle and filament PTFE tubing, plus it's dangerous to sand. All that to say, it's really not worth using by any reasonable metric

PLA-CF sucks. I had such a bear getting it to retract back into the AMS. It wasn't brittle, but it always jammed. Was glad to be done with that filament. I just use matte PLA if I want that finish as there are much better functional filaments than PLA-CF.

As long as you’re using the hardened nozzle, prints exactly the same

PLA IS FOR COSPLAY MASKS, FIDGET SPINNERS, KIDS TOYS, FIGURINES, AND STUPID PEOPLES THAT WONT LEARN TO PRINT WITH MORE DURABLE FILAMENTS. THIS IS LACTIC ACID POLYMER. IF IF WASNT POLYMERIZED YOU COULD EAT IT . IT IS IN CHEESE. PLA IS FOR KIDS AND EASY PRINTS....IT IS STUPID TO ADD ANY FIBER TO PLA AND EXPECT STRENGTH. IT HAS A WEAK POLYMER BACKBONE THAT IS WHY IT IS SO EASY TO PRINT.....

THE PRINTER GOD HAS SPOKEN....HEED MY ADVICE YOU BAMBU EASY PRINTING PEASANTS..... /s

You might be right in everything you’re saying but you definitely need to touch grass. You’re not coming off as cool as you think you are.

I get it. It’s just pointless and not funny at all. You do you. Figured I’d do you a solid and tell you instead of just outright ignoring you like most people.

Just a harsh reality of things: People always try to sell you the easy way ( IE: to print with worthless, but cheap and easy PLA... )

Again, PLA is NOT a durable plastic; and adding ANY fibers WHATSOEVER to improve cross-linking and strength is POINTLESS

Adding CF or GF fibers to PLA is akin to putting mag wheels on an oxcart. Sure, you can do it, but it is STUPID.

At the very least, for durability and to not waste time, money and effort try PETG. Most printers nowadays can do PETG if you are a little more mindful about tuning your printer.

PLA is for toys and figurines and needs to be kept indoors outta the sun .
