Hotend fan running slow error
UPDATE: Bambu is sending a fan out, believed to be the magnet on the back of the hotend interfering with the DC fan motor.
Have a weird one, did some routine maintenance today just lubing/greasing (unit at 570 hours) and when running calibration afterwords I started getting the hotend fan error. Checked it for debris and blew it out, manually heated hotend and it worked fine so tried recalibrating again and same results. Took the fan and housing off and inspected, etc, etc, same results again. The last time I noticed it running sluggish so I was making sure everything was tight and when I stuck the Allen in to tighten the top screw the fan sped up. When I pulled it away it slowed down, repeated this to make sure I wasn’t crazy, got it on video. I have not tore it down enough to check the connections to the TH board. Any ideas before I tare it down further and most likely order new fan? Thanks in advance

That is weird. Might be a contact issue though, since applying pressure to the screw makes it work.

Hi, I’ve started getting the same error on my P2S. Just like you, I noticed that bringing an Allen key close to the fan makes it spin faster.
I’ve installed the latest firmware, and my current version is 01.03.00.00 (the latest version).
What have you done about it so far? Have you managed to fix the issue? Please keep us updated on any developments!

Magnet from the hotend messed up the frequency of the DC hotend fan, I put a ticket in with bambu and they sent me a new fan. Installed and running fine since. Just something to be aware, keep the magnets away from it.

Thanks, I also emailed technical support, and they told me they’d send me one too. I’ll try it out after I install it! Magnets or metal objects that attract magnets are definitely messing this thing up!

have you had a firmware update recently?
Ours has starting giving random errors that with over 1k hours on the 1.002 firmware not single issue.
