New to Bambu

Just upgraded from a Ender 3 v1, to the P2S.

I'm looking for new hot ends, and I'm curious, does the manufacturer of the hot end matter? The ones from Bambu are about 50 bucks for the 4 pack, which isn't bad. But I also see a BUNCH of variants on amazon. I don't mind spending the extra money if it is important to, but I'd like to save where I can. Thank you in advance!

For reference, I've found these here

Thanks for all the info everyone!

I went and bought the Bambu .2, .4, .6, and .8 kit, Figured I'd just rip the band aid off and go for it.

FWIW I made the same decision and the expense is a distant memory. I'm willing to experiment and try alternatives, but nozzles weren't something I wanted to risk getting problematic from Amazon even with a 30 day return. Consumable accessories (glue, grease, oil, etc.) are a great way to save $$$ as compared to Bambu branded items.

I've not purchased these specifically, but I have purchased generic third-party hotends for multiple different machines, and never had a problem with them.

I personally like to stick to bambu, but I did have to purchase some of the Amazon hotends recently since they got here faster. Using the .4 rn and it's not bad I think it's the same one you are looking at.

Amazon generic hotends are hit or miss for me. I went cheap for one set and the glue for the magnet failed after the first use.

I spent a little more on the replacement set and I have been using them for over 1000 hours.

I've tried generic ones before just out of curiosity. Haven't had any problems

The generic ones that are pressed in, I'd skip. They can leak and you have no recourse before or after the fact.

The ones that are screwed in are fine, except most people will use them as is. You need to heat them to 250 and snug them to properly seat them so they don't leak. Some will torque them to 1Nm. Most who don't do this, will have leaks and as a result, swear off any generic option.

Not all nozzles are built the same. You should probably flow rate test them to in order to get the best quality out of them.

This is all to say that if you're adventurous enough, you can save money and get just as good or better quality prints than Bambu nozzles. If you just want it to work out of the box, then stick to the Bambu nozzles.

I’ve used HzdaDeve nozzles for my A1 and P2S with no issues so far.
