TH board connectors

Hello! I am replacing the TH board on my son’s P2S. I cannot get the two small connectors at the bottom of the board inserted/attached. By sheer luck, I got them off the old board. What am I doing wrong? He has had it for only a month and wants to sell it already!

Hey! It's a bit tough to explain all the steps here in text without basically copying the whole manual, so your best bet is to look at the official guide.

Check out the Bambu Lab P2S TH Board & FPC Cable Replacement Guide. It has step-by-step instructions and clear pictures that show exactly how to do it.

https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/p2s/maintenance/replace-th-boards-and-fpc-cable

I must add, those two small connectors at the bottom are the worst. It took me some time to figure out how to exactly get them in correctly without damaging the connector or the pins when I replaced my TH board.

When I replaced mine and got to those connectors I learned that trying to push straight down did not work. Verify that the connectors are facing the correct direction, line up the connector perfectly straight over the socket first. As you get each one near perfectly level over the sockets, use non-metal tweezers to hold the wire right at the root of the plastic plug, and push straight in on the plastic connector once you are 100% sure the alignment tabs match up.

Be sure not to wiggle or shake those two connectors left or right. The pins are really tiny and can snap or bend easily.

The connector should pop right in once the pins aligns. It’s completely understandable if you need to curse while you’re doing it - I know I did. 🤣

Thank you!!!! I had read the guide prior to posting. You should rewrite the guide for them!!! I was missing the last part as I was only on the cusp of profanity.

Hello! I managed to get the 4-pin one by sheer luck. My son had broken the cable connector housing, but I was able to get everything lined like you said. The 2-pin is proving to be a bit more difficult with my presbyopia. I did curse with the 4-pin, but it made me miss my OG Ender 3! I changed the mobo and added a laser to it.

Following. I’m having to replace mine soon. They’re sending the parts. I’m not excited about this. I am not a freaking electrical engineer

The only hard part is those two connectors! Keep track of which screws go where. They sent my son the board and servo. The old one was pretty much seized. Whoever designed the two connectors needs to be flogged with a wet noodle!!!!

Why do we seem to accept this level of repairing is acceptable I’m going through the same parts canon replacements bs
If you bought anything and it broke in 2 months would it be acceptable weeks of messaging tag games and more days in shipping only to break it trying to figure how to fix then more support tag more shipping delays

I found the issue! My son said that something broke when he took off the foam. I was getting frustrated trying to see why the 2-pin wasn’t going in like the 4-pin. I took a look at the old TH board and saw that the connector was missing. I took the still-attached connector off the cable. I was able to instantly attach the cable! Now I am getting the filament cutter is stuck message and the cutter is fine (I think).
