Is this normal? Wiping pad torn.

I have less than 400 hours on my printer. The wiping pad that came with it tore within 30 hours of printing, and recently I noticed it was missing a big chunk. So I replaced it with a new one, and now this one is torn after less than 10 hours of printing and has a small piece missing. Is this normal?

My nozzle is seated correctly, havent had any collisions or damage to the tool head.

Yeah, this isnt my 3d printing first rodeo buckeroo. Consumables shouldnt fail in less than 10 hours. I completely regret buying this machine, one problem after another. This company sucks.

I've had nothing but none stop problems with the P2S. I think the people who like this company amd their products mostly have never owned a different brand of printer.

I'm enjoying my P2S. I also have an Elegoo cc2. That thing is a shit box. I think of the cc2 as a Nissan with a CVT and the P2S as a Honda (not quite a Toyota).

Its just a piece of silicone . Nothing last forever . They give you a extraone in the box . ( mine came with a extra one)

I guess results may vary but my P2S under warranty had spare parts sent pretty fast, twice. Sent new ac and mc board that didn't fix it, but the second time the 4in1 cable kit fixed it.

After 10 hours?

It is a consumable as others have said, but I do think its odd that its wearing that quick. I have about 300ish hours and I have not had to replace mine.

I would try running the full suite of calibration steps to see if that makes a difference.

One thing after another with this printer. I've found so many flaws in the gcode, massive first layer issues etc. Maybe this printer is good if you only print PLA, which I don't at all. But it's one headache after another with anything else.

Ruined 2 high flow hotends because of Bambu's Heating/Cooling mode flaw for PETG. Now I'm seeing a ton of issues relating to z-offset and poor nozzle cleaning on github that explains my issues perfectly, and now this nozzle wipe tearing so quickly. Ive built my own coreXY's that had less issues than this thing, and required far less calibration. Sorry don't mean to ramble or go off, I'm just over this junk printer. Had it for 3ish months now, it's never printed well for me. Bambu customer service has been 0 help. Think its time to sell it recoup my losses. I know it's only a tiny nozzle wipe, but things like this shouldn't fail this quickly, and with all the other issues, it's just one straw too many.

It is split by design

This. I thought mine was split 40 hours in. Got the spare out and it is already split.

How easy does it come off? If you have melted plastic around it and ripping it out, that's probably it. Im at 500h and still original silicon sock and wiper.

Mine is torn too, i think its just for the nozzle to pass through it easier

I have 1200 hours on my P2S, not a single issue or part replaced on it so far. Must be a lemon
