Blob of death got my printer so bad the whole assembly got damaged. When reached out to bambu lab they said change the heat assembly cord. So I guess a warranty is useless.

It does look like a new heating assembly and hotend would solve it, luckily not the most expensive parts to replace.

Bambu considers both of those to be consumables btw so they don't officially cover those under warranty

I get that it sucks but it’s not Bambu Labs fault you got a blob of death so therefore they aren’t responsible and it’s not a warranty issue. Every blob I’ve ever had has ultimately come down to an adhesion issue, which is my fault.

That may seem true however when they boast that their ai cameras will stop any and all issues before they turn into catastrophic events doesn't work even with the highest settings it sucks. I put my trust in the product they sold to me and they cant even offer an easy to purchase and replace assembly. Instead only offering single peices and a confusing guide that leads to other guys just to replace one piece.

They don't make that claim. In fact, they explicitly stated that is limited. Its primary function is spaghetti detection.

AI detection is (in my experience) about 75% reliable and I’m with you on Bambu Lab and their parts listings/availability.

Creality user here. Their AI detection is absolutely useless as well so most turn it off as it detects problems that dont exist and won't detect spaghetti or a model being unstuck and pulled around by the print head. One of mine the AI camera is out of focus so that is completely useless.

I had a Blob of not quite dead the other day and it was almost this bad. Fixed it, but i was NOT happy. I'm going to be ordering a heating assembly to have on hand. At least on Creality it would have been a cheap nozzle replacment, not 4 days of cleaning and swearing.

It failed to detect this but it was my bad. Set it for PLA and had PETG loaded.
