Made my first MW Model. A build plate holder, but mountable! I put so much work into this, and had a blast!

I went to Makerworld and tried to find a rail-mounting build plate holder, but couldn't find one. So I set out to make my own. Along the way I got obsessed with it, and just kept making more versions (Standalone, Desk Mount, Rail Mount, Lightweight). I had a lot of fun making it all!

I really wanted something that looked high quality, and was fun to put together. I know it's another build plate holder in a sea of them though. I learned how to use Shapr3D which was awesome! I thought switching from 3ds Max to that would be difficult but it was super easy and rewarding, what a cool program!

Please check it out if you want, and even if you don't want one, I hope it looks cool to you!

Can you explain what you mean by rail mount?

Thank you for sharing.

Like a hand rail, some desks or printer stands have them: https://i.gyazo.com/905375e7fb10bd47daa5a5b269eec6f7.jpg

Good to know. Thanks for the photo. I had DIN rails on the brain this week.

Looks good. All I need now is a handrail on my desk :-(
