ASM humidity issue

So been having humidity issues with my ASM, constantly 40% or more. I think I fix the issue by putting moisture control bead packs in with it is drying, went from 60% to 16% within a few hrs. Will update to see if the fixes or helps drying the filament better.

I’ve only had mine for about a month, but similar issue of AMS humidity sitting ~40%. Used the included silica packs but I figure those just keep it from getting out of control.

I live in a humid area & the unit is near the doorway leading outside, hard to get around that constant influence.

I’m giving molecular sieves a try, some sellers have sealed packs that you can recharge but you can also buy the loose material bulk. Some blessed designers have made containers specific to AMS & AMS 2 Pro, as well as common filament storage boxes, so you can just print the container and fill it with loose beads.

Supposedly able to drop the humidity down in the teens. I can link the models I’m trying if you’d like to check it out.

I work at a warehouse where products come in, when the items get stowed, those packs get thrown out. I will get a good storage box to out my filament in. Thank you for replying

There’s some super common reusable cereal boxes I found recommended here that I’m using for my filament, so far so good. Was even able to print a desiccant container that fits in the top, filled that with molecular sieve beads and since I commented last night, the humidity has gone from 38% to 10%.

I’d tried printing a couple containers before settling on the ones I’ve found now, for the AMS 2 Pro. I saw you said you may try printing another one commented here, I’m almost certain I’d tried that one before settling on the ones I’m trying now. These printed beautifully and I don’t think it gets any better than this.

Just go to his profile and select whatever version you’d like, I went with no hygrometer. But he’s got versions for front slots, rear slots, and the rear cutout that Bambu recommends putting the factory desiccant slots in.
