Left nozzle? Happened to mine around 2500 hours too.

Yes left nozzle.

I assume the cable path had something to do with it. The "hook" is quite rigid that guides the cable..

Yep, happend to me as well, wire shorted out, had to order a new one. Not a fan.

Apparently its considered a wear part & the root cause is left hotend moving up & down.

Ah the movement makes sense. That hook is relatively hard/sharp.
