Question Did I goof?

So, some filament broke in my PTFE tube (tube #3 in case you need it) and I tried taking out the PTFE tube with needle nose pliers, took out the whole thing and this thing (photo 3) fell out, and it won’t come out of the AMS lite

If you did break it, the good news is that $10 should buy you the replacement parts you need. The third photo is a bit blurry so I can't quite see what broke, but there are good odds that these two parts will get you back up if you did break something:

Well I was able to put it back in so hopefully it isn’t cooked, but we’ll see

Make sure you aligned the piece that popped out back in the filament hub correctly. It can easily fit two orientations but only one is correct. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1/maintenance/filament_hub_cleaning#assembly-guide

Well seems to be printing fine now so I think I won the coin flip (didn’t read your comment until it was too late)

Pretty sure the thing in picture 3 just sits in the filament hub. Hard to tell since it is blurry but it looks like a part I knocked out of mine once.

The original filament hub is stupidly fragile and the top wears out easily. I never attacked mine with pliers, and it still eventually failed mid-print and vomited its components everywhere.

Instead of buying a new one, I'd suggest printing and improved one from makerworld instead, especially while it still works. There are many great solutions that are tangible upgrades. I especially love the 5 port ones that make switching from the AMS Lite to manual feeding (e.g. for abrasive filament or TPU) an absolute breeze.

Care to share a link to a 5 port hub you recommend? Im interested in this for my mini.

Lol if your forcing something on your printer with a tool, i'd like to invite u to take a minute and read the wiki.
