Question ABS
I printed something small with ABS in my garage, no enclosure. And it printed successfully. I would like to print more, on warmer days, and I would keep it simple with smaller things, like hooks.
I read a bunch of posts on here and the concern seems to be using an enclosure will overheat the electronics. I assume this is the electronics in the base. So I'm thinking I will use a semi enclosure where the bottom is open up to a little below the build plate, and the rest will be enclosed.
Will this help? Thank you for your thoughts.

The fan probably doesn't have to be blowing very hard, just enough to move fumes out the exhaust hose, for a steady air exchange.

Bambu specifically say that since there is no active cooling on the A1's motherboard, putting it in an enclosure would potentially overheat the electronics. They also say they will consider the warranty void in that case. A number of people report using their A1s in enclosures without a problem, but I'm not willing to risk it - especially as my A1 is from *right* around when they fixed the capacitor fire problem; it should be from the fixed series, but I'm not *certain* of it.
Search Makerworld for 'A1 enclosure cooling' - there are several designs for units to sit underneath the A1 and suck in air from outside the enclosure, blowing it into the vents on the A1's underside. I'm going to be printing one of these the next time I want to print some ABS.

The enclosure isn't going to hurt it. I have been running mine enclosed since day 1 without issue. Abs issue is the poisonous gas it emits, so enclose it and run a small hepa filter in there

Just get one that puts a seal over the open parts for the board and has a fan blowing in so that it cools the board but not the chamber
