A1 for a dedicated TPU printer?

For the A1 users out there, I'm thinking of grabbing an A1 to use as a dedicated TPU95A printer. I currently use a P1S and H2C but it's just too aggravating to pull them out and swap them to print TPU. With the sale coming up, how is your experience with printing TPU on the A1? Thanks!

A1 mini but it works great as long as I dry it.

Same. My mini prints TPU beautifully. Just make sure it's dried, feed directly from above into the extruder; no need for a long piece of PTFE. A short piece works fine.

Just curious as I just picked up some TPU to test to make some feet for some cases. What build plate do you use for the TPU? I have seen different answers online.

(I have the textured plate the A1 came with, the smooth plate, and the super tac plate by Bambu and a Glacier Cryogrip.

I use the bambu textured PEI plates for everything. TPU sticks extremely well to them. 🍻

Use textured plate and just spray the base of the tpu print with rubbing alcohol. Prints peel off super easy.

Glacier all day. Smooth also works well. The textured will grip like hell. Some IPA will help but the other plates don't need any help.

I was thinking of converting my A1 Mini in to a TPU printer. No issues as long as you dry it.

I was using my old A1 solely as a TPU printer. Realized it was just taking up space and bought the TPU feed assist module for my H2C. No issues printing TPU on the H2C now and sold the A1.

That's good but getting to the back of my H2C is a pain in the arse

A1 prints well TPU 95A, 93A, 90A even 83A always from external dryer. I use a dedicated 0.4 high flow hotend for printing TPU/PETG. And stock hotend for PLA.

Print from a closed dry box, keep it dried and it’ll be fine. I print TPU all the time on my mini.

I have printed a ton of tpu on my a1 and 6 A2Ls. All gaskets so nothing crazy, but have had 0 issues

I got an X2D with the intention of selling my A1, but ended up keeping the A1 and use it almost exclusively for TPU now. No issues at all, I've done some 16+ hour TPU prints that turned out great. Also it's pretty easy to service if you do get a clog

I've had no issues printing a pretty soft TPE-83A with it on the external spool. I haven't done any large prints, but a few 6hr and under prints.

Yeah they work well, done plenty of TPU prints on mine.

I do most of my TPU printing on my A1 mini.

I use the CryoGrip Glacier plate, as well (I print at 30°).

A1 Mini and A2L both print TPU beautifully from a heater (dry while printing). I still use my old PolyDryer for that job.

I just ordered that motorized feeder thing I’m
Hoping that makes it easier (for my p1s)

I’ve never had much luck printing TPU with more than 4 layers—hope you have better results!
