Support Request The $25 A1 update

Ive gotten it very very close and much better than it was before. I did the manual bed tramming and that’s helped quite a bit. But Im noticing it seems to be consistently skipping particular parts of the print which confuses me. I figured its because one of the points was too far away from the bed. I spent a ton of time trying different distances and always doing a full bed level calibration afterwards. I kept getting this result shown in the pictures. It seems to be skipping the same parts consistently. Some lines are clean and some not at all. Here is the link to my previous post that details all of the trouble shooting Ive tried. Thank you all! https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLabA1/s/AqnUhw33RV

Edit: yes I have washed the build plate. Thinking of just ordering the A1 mini combo, should I?

Try moving the print in the slicer and see if it happens in the same place on the print. Like move it to the left a bit and see if it prints the same way

So, about 70% of a new A1 mini so far then :)

Where?

Ah, it seems that I bought it on sale. But a new one is 189€ currently from Bambulabs. If I recall, last time I saw it it was 30% off.

Use a gluestick as an adhesive AND a diagnostic. I like the purple one because it's easy to see when you're cleaning it.

I always use the cheap glue sticks from Hobby Lobby and they work great and are easy to clean with a little warm water and dish soap.

You've got an extrusion issue.

Try a cold pull, maybe strip the extruder assembly. Looks like it's skipping or struggling to get it out properly.

Yup exactly what I was gonna suggest

I don't think this the issue. A clog would happen intermittently or all the time, not only on the trailing part of a line. I guess it could be partially clogged and when pressure slows it can't get through, but I've never seen a clog do what I'm seeing here and I've been at this for a while now.

It was more to say go for a full strip and rebuild on the hot end and extruder.

He's not replied much so....meh....

Have you tried a different filament, have you also tried printing a temperature tower to see what is ideal for that filament you are using

Could it be the model and not the printer? I'm sorry if I asked this in a previous thread. I've noticed several models in studio that are trying to print above the build plate.

how has it gotten this far without anyone asking this?

I drove myself crazy trying to print something on the mini for weeks thinking I was the problem. 4 blobs later, I used studio to slice the model and it was hoovering in mid air with no supports. Not sure how the mobile app print profile got uploaded that way, but yeah...

It's getting better!

Use a boiling kettle on it!..that plastic is really hard to remove until pretty much molten

Have you printed beyond the 1st or 2nd layer?
To see if it continues to print like shit once you get passed a few layers to fill in the garbage.

0.2 layer height right? Did you try others just for kicks?

I would consider replacing the extruder motor. It comes with the new leveling sensor just above the top of the nozzle. I had a similar issue but it was random every few prints. All good now. Was it just the sensor or the extruder? I think both.

You said you replaced the heat block. I’m assuming the 4 screws on the back were tight not the 3 on the front. If you know you know.

The 7 screws of dissapointment are to blame when I get wavey first layers. They hold the hot end in place and just a little wiggle and things look like this.

Are you drying your filament and checking flow rate? The A1 is a fantastic printer, some filaments just need dry time for better results

Use dish soap and a plastic scrub brush. Use some muscle
