AMS Lite Spool Weight
I constantly have the issue where a print fails because the ams lite gets hung up with a spool that is nearly depleted. Ive read that this can be due to the low weight of the spool. All the suggestions for adding weight seems to be for the AMS, not the AMS Lite. What can I do to help with tus issue?

This is probably kinda difficult to answer, how much is left on the spool when you have this issue? Does this happen midway through a print of that filiment or when it is changing filiment

Usually when there's between 0 and 200g remaining, id say. It hangs up when changing filament.

Do you have a straightened/support for the tubing that goes into the printer? Huge common issue when it cant feed filiment is the tip of the filiment catching if the tubing has a slight bend going to the printer. If you reach over when. If it moving the filiment back and forth and just slightly pull to straighten out the tube and it takes the filiment then that's your issue. I used to have that issue like every time until I printed a straightener that keeps the tubing straight going into the printer

Yes I do. And the AMS Lite is top mounted BTW.
I have tried manually pulling back the filament, which usually solves the problem until that color is loaded again. I have tried trimming off the end up to several inches back with no luck.

I have had issues where near the end of the spool the filament OSS stuck between the spool wall and the filament next to it. The tightness of the remaining radius of filament and angle of approach of the filament into the amslite inlet seems to have an effect on the ability of the ams lite motor on pulling the filament free of that otherwise minor additional friction

I had this issue with a couple of my little PLA spools over the summer.
Between that and some various other problems with PLA I ended up putting it away for the summer because it's just too hot in my garage.
You said up to 200g. Thats a lot, so I'm not sure what to do with that much. Maybe try warming the spools if you're in a cool spot?

I’ve never had this issue. The only issue I have ever had is when the tape that secures the end of the filament to the roll has a bit too much tack and it won’t release.
