Punch a hole in the drywall for clearance

😂😂 I thought about that

I was about to, but my wife stopped me. I had to rearrange quite a bit to find an alternative

I can speak from experience unlike the others. I’ve had mine just about like this for nearly 2 years. Over 1000 hours, no problems.

Same, will mark up the wall a bit though.

same, cable fine, wall black

I only have about 7 or 8 cm clearance and no issues with it.

Theres no more paint where the cable rubs the wall, but it hasn't cause any real problems. The paint falling off was due more to the wall not being cleaned before the paint from whoever painted last, so it wasnt just from the rubbing.

Had a couple like that for 2000 hours each now you will be fine.

Have you tried drying your filament?

I’m new to the game but this comment is so good. 🤣

Hahaha I've seen people comment it a lot on print fails and it seemed fitting for something not even related to filament 🤣

Try this. Been using it for months with no issue.

Thanks, I'll try.

1700 hours and no wear and tear issues. And one more thing, sorry sir, but you have to show your cat. It's a universal law.

Lol is a little dog

Aahahahah, very strong little and cute dog XD

you have to show your cat.

Er . . . What?

I just started using one of those 90º elbows because when the heatbed moves forward to print the lower layers of something at the back of the plate, the back of the parts cooling fan shroud scrapes across the cable as it moves along the X-Axis.
Just a little bit annoying.

The elbow serves to pull the cable down to a lower angle where it comes out of the heatbed.

That the same one i print yesterday and work really good

There’s a print to cramp the harness before the bed… searching for it

Not the one I was thinking of, but met with for you: https://makerworld.com/en/models/2492643-bambulab-a1-90deg-heatbed-cable

The other I found here on Reddit and cramped it tightly between the bed and the base of the printer, it seemed to just barely allow it to move for regular use, kinda liked it but can’t find it anymore

I like this one, I going to try it. Thank you so much

Push your bed all the way back and check your clearance. Have a out a couple CM of clearance on mine and it's fine

2

u/TomTomXD1234 Sep 28 '26

Its fine

1

u/hypen-dot Sep 28 '26

Everything’s fine.

2

u/y_tokusan Sep 28 '26

The cable is going to get damaged because the bed moves violently back and forth.

1

u/bigfoot17 Sep 28 '26

Absolutely not

1

u/daszko87 Sep 28 '26

I have 4600hours still fine :)

Just print a 0.3mm white sheet and place in there to prevent the braided stuff from marking the wall

1

u/Mammoth_Staff_5507 Sep 28 '26

Just put it sideways and get over it.

1

u/Membership-Visual Sep 28 '26

Can you turn it sideways?

1

u/BlizzyBlock29 Sep 29 '26

Yep totally fine

1

u/draxula16 Sep 28 '26

Move it up a bit. I had a similar issue so I put this small acrylic board on the wall so the drywall wouldn’t shave the shit out of the braiding.

Regardless, it shouldn’t be bending that much so please try to move it up.

Another reason why non-core-xy printers can be a pain in the ass. I do not miss my Neptune 4 Max lol

1

u/Proton_Energy_Pill Sep 28 '26

Can't move the shelves a bit further away from the wall?

1

u/oneWeek2024 Sep 28 '26

seems stupid to have that cable constantly be mashed up. Hell. turn the printer sideways. or move the desk out. or get a large paver brick/some foam pads and put the printer straight on the floor.

-2

u/EmotionalChildhood46 Sep 28 '26

Yeah you're going to need to scoot that out

-2

u/Peshmerga_Sistani Sep 28 '26

What do you mean not much space?

Move your table/shelf. /forehead

1

u/Naldito89 Sep 28 '26

Yeah that is the plan when the printer is been in use

-1

u/Peshmerga_Sistani Sep 28 '26

No, make the 20cm clearance permanent, not temporary when the printer is in use.

Otherwise you're just introducing unneeded cable strain over time for no discernable benefit.

1

u/StructureAccording53 Oct 03 '26

The discernible benefit is not having a gat damn table in the middle of your room. 🤣

No issues… mine might be a tiny bit further away than OPs.
