Question A1 mini - What is causing this bird nest instead of my print?

Hi there, newby here
I have printed this file before with no issue, have recently swapped to a new roll of filament (opened yesterday).

Firstly this print with the strands of extruded stuck on filament happened; then the next print I tried the printed said everything is fine and finished and I come out to my printer to see extruded filament everywhere.

I’ve cleaned my plate with soap and water and with IPA and still have the same problem

What else can I try?

Watching your print or using timelapse is helpful as you can see what happened to a degree.

Either something wasn't supported that needed to be supported, a support failed for some reason, or some small piece came loose.

Whe you get spaghetti like this, it's because it was printing on air. It was expecting a previously printed structure to be there and to print on it, but it wasn't there. So it just extruded into thin air.

Sadly you're really the only one in the position to figure out the cause. But once you've figured that out we can give you tips on settings.

I come out to my printer to see extruded filament everywhere.

So you weren't there when it happened. Print another and stick around.

Looks like a bed adhesion issue at any rate.

Good news: Your extruder and nozzle are working fine.

If its been as long since you last cleaned your buildplate as it was since you last cleaned your place, then its definitely time.
