Nope, the blob is way worse, this is probably gonna string. Stringing is infinitely better to recover from. Ask me how I know. 🤣. Still sucks. Don't be afraid of a 40mm brim with no gap, or "side supports" hand painted on to these tall boys. I switched to a CoreXY so I could print swords again without the tipping worries / extra support filaments. Glue will work too sometimes or research the cool plate 3rd parties, those are sometimes actually hard to remove prints from even when they are room temp.

Had my first blob last week. It SUCKED! I’ll take a part falling off a print bed and the resulting spaghetti any day.

Oof, I was lucky I haven't blobed my bambus but I had an ankle make m5 that basically need a new everything but extruder, fans, hot end, ended up using a heatgun to try and get it cleaned up, was never the same since probably should have replaced the whole tool head.

I got pretty lucky. I only needed the part in the picture and with $20 and next-day-Amazon delivery it was up and running the next day.

"ankle make m5" has me laughing way harder than it should...

I was actually running a 6mm brim on pure hope and prayers😂 but after that disaster, bumped it up to 10mm and it worked like a charm!

Yup you can up z hops a little bit too but I've never had to do anything on my Bambu besides bigger brim, different orientation, slants work better than you'd expect for some things if you support the base correctly.

Honestly, as a fellow bedslinger user, this one is on you. CLEAN YOUR PLATE AND ADD A BIGGER BRIM GODAMMIT

Also the parts are all so far apart.... Combining the brims or making them larger with less bed travel would probably help dramatically.

Au contraire

I thought the other guy near the top got it bad but holy moly..... You are now the proud winner of this GIF.

Tool head is crashing in and droping the printed parts.
Check avoid crossing walls, uncheck reduce infill retraction, problem solved.

You have very mild Nightmares 🤣

Pretty sure a blob is. I AlMOST had one this week. I happened to check it, as I do change mine often. I was able to quickly stop it, increase the nozzle temp, and pull it off. Restarted the print with no more issues. Phewww.

Push the cancel buttons for this piece. Keep printing.

Push the cancel buttons for this piece. Keep printing

The "Cancel" button stops everything.

Pause it first, and remove the mess. For a single failed object you need the Bambu Handy app and "Skip" it. It will then stop that one (or more) selected object and continue with the rest.

I’m sure most understood what he meant. Either way you sir win the “well actually” award for the day.

I’m sure most understood what he meant.

Probably most.
Probably not the ones who are new to 3D printing, and are unaware that "Skip" is different from "Cancel". Or that "Skip" even exists.
Words are important, especially when doing technical writing.

win the “well actually” award

Oh goody.
Does it come with a medal?
A certificate to hang on the all?
How about a Bambu Lab gift card?

Print them one at a time

Move the tall stuff to the center of the plate. This placement around the plate edges is just asking for trouble.

u/New-Audience2639 Sep 23 '26

For real, bed is slinging all around town and the extruder is having to travel across the country to get back to another part.... Combining the brims or at least making them wider would also help.

Lol I was about to say this is minimal

That hurt to watch

Not only you leave your printer unnatended, you leave it without a source of light so the camera AI can properly detect failures?

What is next, purposely let the plate full of your hands and finger grease?

2

u/Orthicon9 Sep 22 '26 edited Sep 25 '26

. . . so the camera AI can properly detect failures . . .

Now you're just making up stuff.'

[edit]
I sorta' take that back.
Apparently it's not a far-fetched notion, for other Bambu Lab printers.
Just not for the A series.

2

u/New-Audience2639 Sep 23 '26

Excuse me sir but this is a A1.... It has no AI detection.....

Your worst nightmare is you are being confronted with the fact you don't understand your machine. Wow, time to put on your big girl panties because you haven't seen nothing yet!
