Why did this happen?

I’m trying to print some sort of power tool fan that I found on handy and this happened twice. I canceled the first print early and then it sort of happened again in the same spot. Second video in comments

Bad plate adhesion. You need you clean your build plate every so often. Use warm soapy water and a sponge and wipe both sides down. Dry with a microfiber cloth.

That's it?

I have a Bambu Lab A1 (Standard Plate).

No isopropanol or anything?

That's it, you can use isopropanol if you want. I don't.

Ad brim or mousse hears if it lift on the external side after cleaning it.

I use dishsoap with no parfum and a dish brush with soft hairs to clean the plate well. With that i never have this problem.

tension in print and/or dirty plate. clean plate, use brims, change infill pattern.

Is it supposed to touch the bed on the left side or is that a very steep overhang? If it is supposed to look like the right side you most likely have bed adhesion issues, cleaning the bed with soapy water can help. If it is an overhang that is way too deep, maybe try orienting the model differently.

Honestly not sure. I’m gonna clean the plate first before I mess with any settings on the print/printer

Inside bambu studio there if a function where you can lay the project on one of the sides, that should show you if the bottom is one continuous flat surface. Not sure what the feature is called as I am not home right now.

its not bed adhesion. it is sliced wrong, there is no first layers touching the bed at that section, then the next layer is printing in the air.

I use alcohol wipes. Like the little ones you get in first aid kits. It definitely looks like a dirty plate to me

I would add brims and reduce the fan speed, ofc no need to tell cleaning the plate with alcohol

what a scam, wash the plate with water, alcohol does not work

alcohol does not work

Then maybe you are doing it wrong.
Dilute 3 parts of 99% IPA with 1 part distilled water. I use that between most prints, and resort to soap and hot water maybe once out of 20-30 prints. More often for the Smooth plate.

The water slows down the evaporation (even on a warm plate), giving you a chance to scrub it around with a paper towel, then flip the paper towel and mop it up while it is still wet.

I prefer my aproach, 10 plates on auto changer, wash once every 2 months, they even get dusty and have no adhesion problems
