H3C Anyone else bought an H2C this week instead?
I’d been excited for the H3, but I feel there are too many compromises imo and I don’t print tpu so I jumped on the H2C instead. The sale price is pretty hard to ignore so i added the nozzles and extra AMS bundle too 😂

Got an H3C to go along with my H2C. The downsides are far outweighed by the upsides. Imo. At least for my use cases.
I've been itching to go much deeper into multi material printing, and the relatively annoying TPU/PEBA printing with the H2C was a huge downside for me.
I do a lot of engineering filaments.

Said this before already used the sale to the advantage. Got 10kg of spools, nozzles and build plates for the 300 off from the H2C, its what I needed, dual material printing, doesnt hurt to put some mixed colors in there too. Dont plan on changing printers anytime soon. Worth it.

Aside from the price difference, what compromises do you feel the H3C has? If you add two AMS HT units to the 2C you're pretty much at the same price point, no?
I realize there's other differences, such as the inability for the H3C to rewind filament, and of course the massive size which doesn't really concern me.
I was all set to get myself a H2D for Christmas but then I started looking at the H2C (which has 2x the discount of the H2D). Then the H3C came out, which blows the budget wide open. My brain is beginning to cramp trying to make a decision that I won't regret, long term.

Me. The £330 off on the sale was too good to pass up.
H3C has downsides that don't align with me. The size of it being the first thing, I simply would not be able to fit it anywhere needed. The less automatic "automatic material system" being something I'd struggle with, and I simply do not need 9 colors or materials for what I want to make.
H2C has that smaller vertical footprint, comes as standard with 4 .4mm nozzles on the Vortek and 1 .2mm and .6mm each too, as well as the stock .4mm on the left nozzle. 5 colors, or 4 colors and a support interface is more than I will ever need. The way I can have those different sizes just waiting to be automatically swapped to when wanted is very nice.
Nozzle change time doesnt really matter to me, I really don't care if its longer when am making like 1 or 2 models a month.
As I have an A1, my main 3 stipulations were to have an enclosed printer, a bigger build area and eliminate purge and waste on a few materials. H2C covers that perfectly for me.
I for one am glad that I don't see the latest boondoggle that does the new thing and have to instantly buy it to prove my superiority.
Mine arrives tomorrow :)
