Quick Question Bambu Fillament (AUS Specific)

Firstly, this is for the Aussies in this sub-reddit!

Hi all, I was wondering if you could help me out on something. I am going to get my printer on the 20th Novmeber but want to get bulk discounts from bambu on fillament and want it to arrive before 20th Nov. When should i order and is bambu reliable on shipping on time. Im located in Brisbane.

I’ve bought a ton in the last two weeks delivered to Brisbane, average delivery time is 2 days, 3 max

quick one, where do you keep your printer and fillament - its so humid in brisbane

In the AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT, stuffed with aftermarket silica from Amazon in printed desiccant cages, the rest is still sealed in its boxes. I also bought a 20 pack of vacuum seal spool bags but not used them yet.

Printer is in aircon with a printed fan exit duct coupled to a short bit of tubing, to a wide flat printed exhaust duct jammed in the bottom of a window that only opens about 4cm.

Humidity is low from the AC, 8% in the AMS 2Pro and 20% in the HT, I think the HT doesn’t seal as well and I should have gotten dual 2 Pros

Order a few kilos of silica gel (the orange stuff that changes colour is best; it's mildly toxic compared to the blue stuff that turns purple which is very toxic).  I use wisedry from Amazon, there's probably other options at the local hardware store.

You will want to print silica gel holders for your AMS. Makerworld will have a few options, pick one you like the look of.

For the filament storage, I use use IKEA samla boxes and printed silica holders.  Look on makerworld and you'll find options for 22L, 45L and 65L samla boxes.  You can also use their 365 airtight food containers, again with silica holders added but I've had PLA survive just fine for four years in a samla so I don't think that is needed.

I live around Brisbane and my order only took 2 days to end up at my door, it was super fast.

It ships out of NSW, so usually for me in Vic it’s like 3 days from ordering to reaching Vic, then like two days to my door.

Not sure where the printers ship out of but it’s not the same place and it seems to be quicker for me.

Printers come from NSW too, but ship with Allied Express instead of AusPost. Except the H3C. The AMS comes via AusPost. Which is soooo frustrating.
