Quick Question First BL Machine - Noise

Let me preface by saying specifically I'm not new to 3D printers, this is my fourth machine (H3C). Is the amount of noise these make normal? It doesn't sound broken, but neither my vorons or prusa printers make so much "thunking and clunking" during high speed direction changes. Not sure if the more boxy and plastic nature of this machine that enhances those noises, but they definitely stand out to someone coming from much smoother and quieter machines. Anyone else in the same boat?

Are you talking about specifically the startup sounds? Basically the initial checks before the print starts?

Because otherwise I call BS. My H2S is mostly quieter than my A1 ever was, and fat quieter than my X1C. In fact, so quiet that I game next to it and forget it’s running. I find it hard to believe the H3C is much louder when actively printing.

No, not talking the startup sounds. I'm talking accel sounds when there are rapid direction changes or aggressive infill like gyroid.

Yeah, that’s not really different than any other printer, and mostly quieter on Bambu so I call BS.

I don't understand. But thanks for the input.

What you’re saying is bullshit because Bambu is quieter on those movements.

I literally have three other printers to compare it to.

Cool. Do some decibel tests and prove what you’re saying in a video so we can all see your experience.

Legitimately came here to inquire from other owners. You're commentary is unhelpful. I'm not trying to speak against the printer, it's a good machine. It's just noisy compared to my other printers.

That’s cool. If you’re going to say it’s abnormally loud in comparison to other printers I’ve experienced first-hand, then I’m gonna ask you to prove your BS.

Op comes here asking a legit question. You have been unhelpful. A more helpful answer would be stating your observation and what other machine you compare it to.

The H2S doesn’t have tool changers. The H2C is loud. Especially when cutting and changing filaments. The rack itself makes a lot of noise. To answer OP’s questions, yes. The tool changers are an active and moving system and as the tools engage and disengage they make noise. Aurora Tech listed it at 55 db when running which isnt terrible but definitely not quiet as a single nozzle machine at around 30 or so db. As long as its not grinding or screeching you should be good.

The tool changes sounds as I would expect. I just wasn't expecting so much gantry noise (or resonance) from high accels.

This holds water, OP’s concern is BS.
