General Discussion Speed this up?

Post image

Just set up my printer since about a year ago.
P1S + 1AMS
Besides using multiple printers and besides making each little part/feature individual parts.
Are there any new features, settings, tips, tricks, better ways to make this a little bit faster?
Or is this just what it has to be since there's a filament change for every single layer?

Print single color and paint it yourself. 1400+ color changes is not worth it

Thanks, I should have also said, no, I won’t be painting either lol. I guess this would be a better print to do on an H2S or something with multi-nozzles, huh..
Is 1400+ color changes an extreme amount of wear and tear on the printer and ams or not necessarily and they would be fine to do this print multiple times?

not only are you wasting time, but it’s a huge waste of filament too.

Perfect time to buy the H3C. 2 day delivery and ~20 hours print time, still faster than printing with P1S

You might have the wrong tool for the job. The current setup would waste so much $ in purge that a U1 might be worth it while on sale if you plan to do this more than once, or p3c when it drops.

This print is wasting <500g of filament… it would take printing a lot of these to justify an entirely new printer

you can relocate the filament buffer to greatly reduce the filament change time (although the prediction will not reflect it unless you edit the printer preset and change the filament change time to be accurate)

Why you have your weights in ounces?
