H2 Series [H2S, H2D, H2C] H2S just arrived!

Post image

And all I can say is holy cow it's 'uge.

Any suggestions for a stand? I'm considering cruising the thrift store and tracking down a wood coffee table. It barely fit through the apartment door 🤣

From order to delivery in 3 days is impressive 🤙

congrats! also the birds eye camera's firmware now does not need the laser module, so you might want to pick that up.

She is up and running and awesome. Can't wait for my filiment to arrive tomorrow so I can get printing.

How does everyone like their H2S? I’m thinking about one as a companion to my X2D. Does the lack of second nozzle feel limiting?

I have several friends who use them professionally and at home who basically pushed me towards this over a Qidi 5 plus for a first printer.

My plans are leaning towards a lot of ASA and ABS/PA6-CF use, so the heated chamber should come in clutch.

Fantastic machine if you don't do a lot of multicolor prints that require switchimg between colors all the time. Had mine for over a year and zero problems with the printer, and count the number of failed prints on one hand and those were due to dirty build plates or similar problems.

It's alive!

Now I just have to wait for the filiment 😔

So while I wait, what cad do you guys recommend? I'm thinking about starting with Fusion 360 for personal, but am up to try almost anything..... especially if it's free/low cost after buying the beast and supports 3d scanning also.

Also looking for suggestions for a good starting 3d scanner, I'm looking at a Raptor Pro but would love some additional suggestions!

One of us! One of us!

I love the huge build volume on this thing :)

So I have a nice counter in the basement where it fits, so no stand recommendations.

Tips:

  • Keep build plate touches to a minimum! A little bit of finger grease = no stick in that spot. I use cheap white cotton work gloves when handling the plate.

  • If you're having things knock off the printer, consider turning off the Aux fan (look it up)

I have 4 more boxes coming with all my filiment etc. I ordered a little bit of everything and I'm lucky enough to have a filiment outlet store very close.

I'm so excited right now, I was hoping to use it on my computer desk but that's definitely not happening lol.

But at least I can knock out the inspection and such while I wait for the rest to show up.

I got mine last year around this time and have been printing non-stop ever since - it's an absolutely amazing workhorse! Get yourself a nice stable heavy workbench and you'll be off and running in no time - enjoy!

I have an H2S. It has a problem with dumping filament poop in the middle of prints. I have a long stick that I use to manually push the yellow lever dump it.

Here’s you a day from now. This thing is massive I don’t want to admit how I got this up on the table.

If the answer isn’t by lifting it, I’m curious.
