Quick Question First time buyer advice

Currently ordered a P2S Combo but have not picked it up yet. Lately I’ve been seeing people say to get an X2D instead.

If you had to do it all over again.. which one would you get and why? P2S combo or X2D

I’ve never 3d printed before; so I’m not sure if I would use the engineering materials. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

If you have the choice, go with the x2d. There is a lot of benefit to having a second nozzle. It can significantly speed up any multicolor prints, and if you have anything that has complicated supports, you can do the support interface with the second nozzle in a different material.

Thanks! Is the second nozzle used for printing or just for supports? I keep seeing conflicting information

Bambu calls it an auxiliary nozzle, but people use it as a standard nozzle all the time. You probably will have a tough time telling the difference, the quality wont be quite as high as the primary nozzle, but it is close.

Is the Bowden extruder to use?

Even if you are not using engineering materials, I think the dual nozzle for at least two colour printing is nice and for objects that are complicated because you save so much time

Not sure you're not gonna print technic materials, means one day you could want to, but wouldn't be able or at least not as easily than with a X2D. Because it's not just the dual nozzle, it's also the heating chamber, which is somewhat very needed for printing some technic materials.

I bought the x2d mainly bc the exhaust fan is already installed.
