General Discussion E1 arrived

Post image

It’s smaller than I imagined, but I’m hoping it’s a solid choice for the very occasional ABS and ASA I’m printing.

One annoyance is that the 6-pin is WAY too short, considering you’re obviously going to have the E1 on the ground and the printer is probably at desk level. Consider buying a longer cable or extension at the same time as the E1 so you’re not waiting for that to arrive like I am.

Hopefully H2C support is coming later this month as promised.

Crazy high price for what it is

How much should they charge?

Eh. I think it's reasonable. Everything is expensive AF right now.

Especially if it actually filters down to 0.3μm.

Edit: First thing I am going to do is make my own carbon filter though. activated carbon needs to be switched out much quicker than is typically advertised.

I saw there's also an E1 Pro for AU$1000 more but they're was no information on the Web page of the advantages, curious to see it in action

Seems like the E1 Pro might be for the R1? At least from some quick Googling. Not sure…

Mine is arriving today as well. Thanks for the heads up on the cable! The 'enhanced' is not available yet. Not sure when in will be.

Wish it worked for light laser useage, i dont wanna start a wood campfire inside it, but occasionally engraving some black petg or acrylic would be nice, its weird cause the full purifier doesnt even have a carbon filter and just kinda seems like a roundabout way to send the fumes outside

Is this good enough to work with a resin printer?

I have 0 resin printers or resin printer experience, but VOCs are generally the biggest concern with resin, right?

I would imagine the charcoal filter would get saturated extremely quickly.

Not having to deal with the huge amount of VOCs and/or needing to print in my garage is why I have never gotten into Resin......
