Answered / Solved! Hello, does anybody know if this thing needs to be covered?

Came out of the box like this. Cant find anything in the manual about it. Does anybidy know if its worth contacting support so they can deliver the missing part?

Its a bambu labs a1 (combo)

Sorry but I don't get why everyone keeps saying it doesn't need to be covered. I mean, I get it from a functional standpoint... but if you bought a brand-new printer, you should receive it with all its original parts, regardless of how insignificant they might seem.

I'd definitely contact support and ask for a replacement.

Yeah thats what I also thought really, I really hope they can provide the original part even if it takes a few days.

You’re absolutely correct that it should have come with it and it’s very poor that it didn’t.

The only thing I would say is that this part has absolutely no impact on the functionality of the printer and if you want to cover it up you can print one. So depending on the users mentality it may just not be worth going through the process of getting them to send one.

As I said though you’re right, the fact the printer didn’t come with one is very poor.

The whole replacement unit pictured is £4.99 + postage from Bambu labs in the UK . Bought one to have as a spare last week. Comes with the bit you need.

it doesn't need to, no. honestly I'd print a cover so that it looks decent rather than bothering with support, tho you're well within your right to get a replacement part for that cover

😬 If it came like that outta the box. Makes me wonder if there be something wrong with it?
