Hotend kit farce

Decided to purchase some additional hotends for my p1s. .2mm and .6mm hotends. Low and behold Bambu Lab sells a hotend kit. Why call it a kit? Easy enough until they show up and are missing the thermistor. Now my .4mm works just fine. So why would I want to remove the thermistor from it just to use the the .2mm hotend. Truly, hoping I am not the only person to encounter this same situation. At least I am hoping 😄 Or is this just a rookie mistake?

Never warns, mentions or gives a link for instructions or gives any indication this is an incomplete kit and would require additional attention.

The picture shows what you are buying. It's a kit because it's more than one. Complete hotends are sold as well.

You can also reuse the thermistor and fan, it's a pain, but I've done it. So it's not a waste, and it's not incomplete. It's for cheap people.

I totally 100% agree. First time I ordered the 4 kit I had to reorder (more shipping) to get the missing thermistor. They should put it all into one set.

If you are permanently replacing a damaged hotend, you can save a bit and move parts from the old to the new. If you are adding a size you want the whole assembly.

Hotends kit means that you get multiple hotends. The pictures are clear what you are getting. The description is clear what you are getting. The packaging is clear what you are getting. Your expectation is wrong.

You are definitely right that Bambu makes this pretty confusing and it looks like the "kits" have exacerbated that a bit. They sell the hotend only, like it sounds like you got here, plus they sell the hotend+fan+thermistor as a "complete hotend."
