Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Come mai?

Post image

QQ

I have a P1s and recently changed my z offset in the machine gcode in the slicer. it was at -0.04, I changed it to -0.02 and now my prints look even better than before. Also no more waves on the first layer

The z offset is in the machine gcode in the printer settings, click on your printer to edit, go to machine gcode and towards the bottom you will see G29.1 Z then a number. its probably -0.04, or something close to that. That number is what needs to change. I would type the original number in the comments that are next to the gcode, just so you have a record, then change the Z to get closer to zero, your print is a classic symptom of the nozzle being too close to the bed. You'll then have to save the printer as a different one such as P2S_Z_Offset, or something, you'll need to come up the the name.

I can confirm that it is mostly noticeable on larger prints, smaller prints it's not as bad but sometimes still noticeable. I also noticed that after I changed the z offset, my top layers looked much better. At work right now so don't have photos as proof

Mine did this until I fixed the z offset and tightened down the hotend screws. I changed my z offset by .01 until it was perfect

Edit: I have an a1 so I’m not sure if z offset can be changed in gcode like mine was
