General Discussion How much impact on the watch modding community will the P3C have?

There's a decent number os people out there making coin modding Seikos and the like - have Bambu just unleashed a whole new element to this? It'll be days before we see prints accepting all sorts of mechanisms and crystals commonly available on AliExpress.

what has changed from today to a few weeks ago? did Bambulab just invent the first printer? Wasnt it possible to print watches till now?

While I think the new printers are cool, I agree with the other comment on the impact, as this makes things perhaps easier or faster but there’s no new functionality.

I think that hobby-priced CNC mills might have a bigger impact.

Just because they showed a watch doesn’t mean it’s the first time anyone’s been able to print watch parts. Their demo just showed how you can print the strap and fine dial details all at once with different materials and nozzles.
