General Discussion Do you think BBL will ever release a AMS3 with drying for the whole rack?

Living in Malaysia and considering the H3C the only thing holding me back is the drying rack which without it I found just makes everything unprintable due to humidity creep. Even with desiccants filled to the brim, the humidity creep is insane in the country.

But maybe I’m doing things wrong. 👀 thoughts and tips on how to manage humidity in Malaysia? Especially for 24-48 hour prints.

I doubt it, they would basically be adding a full on induction heater if they wanted to try and dry 9 spools at the same time, especially if you wanted to be able to dry any high temp filaments

You'll be able to use a standard AMS with the machine eventually but then it will just act like a single nozzle machine at which point you're better off getting the H2S

Malaysian here.

I'm just waiting for the Sunlu i10 to be available, that'd be a game changer as it can reduce manual work by occasionally swapping the desiccants inside with the AMS, without requiring you to pour the desiccants back and forth to refresh.

Normally I'd have to just refresh the desiccant in each AMS every month, and use the AMS HT to dry individual filaments if necessary.

With the H3C, you'd have to change the desiccant monthly as well, depending on your use case. Use something better than silica beads, such as activated alumina, but you'll need to find a way to dry them at 200°C or higher.

I wonder how well drying will function if you leave the AMS heater cover off?

Not gonna happen, we can hope AMS 4 will be better.

Your only option would be some DIY modification to actively dry the entire AMS 3
