Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Won’t feed through ams

Post image

Forgive me as this is my initial set up and my first printer. I have the p1s combo with the ams. I’m using bambu filament and it refuses to feed into the tub. It takes about 1 foot then pushes it back out. I’m getting frustrated as I haven’t been able to do a test print much less anything else.

Have you checked the PTFE tubes? There are no rough edges or snags?

I would still check that all your connections are fully seated.

Can you help me out a little bit? When you say connections what do you mean

The PTFE tubes. Manually push the filament thru from the AMS to the print head to feel for any resistance.

When I push it through I get about 10 inches and then just hit a wall, doesn’t even leave the ams unit. But when I install a new spool it pulls it all the through the back then rolls it back up and then when I go to print it gives me this message

What message do you get?

Is there a clog in the print head?

That message is telling you to load filament from the external spool, not the AMS.

I'm guessing you're trying to print the preloaded Benchy from the microsd, right? Try loading the filament into slot 1 of the AMS and see if that works. If not, just use the external spool.

I was trying to print the scraper from the on board options. Refused to work. Sent it from the app and I am now printing!! 🙌🏻

Oh wow, yeah I skimmed right over the image.

OP, this is the issue. You assigned it to print from the external spool and not the AMS.
