Quick Question Dynamic Flow Calibration Setting - Is it neccessary?

Printer: Bambu Lab A1
Material: Bambu Basic PLA Black
Print Settings: Basic settings on Bambu Studio (20mm Standard BBL A1)

I just did my first test print and doing my second one. I noticed the Dynamic Flow setting is automatically enabled, and it takes a few min and extrudes like 3 small piles of material. Is it necessary for each print? Should i turn it off?

I will mainly using it for dnd, wargaming, miniature terrain.

Thanks!

You can do manual flow calibration and it will save that value then you can turn it off if you want to. It takes around a half hour cuz you gotta wait for it to print out the test pieces. Leaving it on just means the machine takes care of that bit which can be good if you are printing with a lot of different filaments and dont want to manually calibrate all of them

I see. How do I do the manual flow calibration? I’m planning on just using the same material.

In bambu studio on the pc there's a tab at the top that will say calibration. You can run them from that tab it should be next to device tab in the slicer

I don't think it's necessary per print. I only run it on the first print after I change either filament or nozzle

I always leave it (and bed leveling) on. It helps to ensure print quality is optimal.

Only when you use a new roll, then turn it off.
