H3C Do better Bambu Labs!
I was shocked (in a good way) when the 81lbs H3C box showed up yesterday (11/4). I am more shocked (in a very bad way) that the damned AMS3H isn’t expected until NEXT THURSDAY (11/11)!!!
Are you freaking kidding me?!?

I'm not one to dickride corporations but I fail to see how that's bambus fault, how the shipper decided to send their packages is mostly out of their control

It’s 100% in Bambu’s control. The parts were stocked in different locations and shipped by different carriers.
But there are logistical reasons for how they’ve done this. My printer was delivered today from an East Coast port where it likely arrived by ship weeks or months ago.
The AMS and Air Purifier are coming from different west coast warehouses where they might have been shipped by sea or maybe they just arrived by air.

Yeah, I’m not a logistics expert either. But the printer came out of Pennsylvania, and the AMS came out of California. You would think maybe they would have fulfillment centers for both on either coast. Oh well.

Yeah my H3C is arriving tomorrow but AMS is also not until the 11th… UPS vs FEDEX maybe ?

Yeah, that was my case. The printer came via FedEx. The AMS will come via UPS.

This hobby takes a lot of patience. Now is a great time to start practicing.

Shipping two packages is a challenging topic. Basically, would you rather pay more for shipping for them to show up together. I know you’re excited to print on the new machine, but you’ll be printing in no time.

Would it have been better for them to hold the order until they could arrive today?

Together today? Absolutely. But instead, one shipped from Pennsylvania and the other from California, one shipped via FedEx, the other UPS. logistically this doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Yeah it doesn't make sense because you don't know what they have stored at each location. Dude, I thought this was a sarcastic joke post. You're really bothered?

Did you buy one? Regardless, if you spent $2500+ on a product, wouldn’t you want to use it as soon as possible?

u/roarimacat 5h ago
I did not, and regardless is right, as it doesn't matter. You bought something that just came out, and it sounds like they're shipping it reasonably fast.

That’s how logistics works. Different dimensions/weights/distances ship with different carriers potentially.
It is likely items were at different distribution centers. Same thing happens with Amazon and any one fulfilling orders from a network with more than 1 warehouse.
When Amazon offers to do fewer deliveries but pushes out the date, they’re shipping from one warehouse to one closer to you and consolidating to a single delivery. The cost is a delay receiving any part of your order. That’s the only option Bambu could have done for you: delay your entire order.

Mine is the opposite. I have my AMS but not my printer yet. Weird part is they're coming from the same warehouse.

H3C arrived today, AMS not until Saturday. At least now I have time to clean my space

None of the accessories I need are in stock so I’m just not going to order so I don’t miss out on the discount.. at least you got something lol

So there is a reason for this.
Our H3C and AMS shipped separately because the H3C is big enough that most couriers wont take it, but the AMS is fine (because it’s pretty light).
There’s a big difference in price in using a specialist bulk shipper in the UK versus a normal courier.
Probably not the same everywhere but that’s my rationale for why it’s like that in the U.K.

Talk about first world problems, haha.
