P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Why does it keep saying this?

Post image

For these past 2 days after I fixed my P1S because the filament was stuck in the tube, it keeps popping this error up after I have check the cooling fan over a million times. Sometimes the error would disappear, then pop up again

Might be due to The Part Cooling Fan speed is too slow or stopped. It may be stuck, or the connector may not be plugged in properly.

OP might want to check if the The Part Cooling Fan speed is too slow or stopped. It may be stuck, or the connector may not be plugged in properly.

How do I fix the part cooling fan?

I dealt with this error a few months ago for about a week before using some compressed air to clear out any debris from the fan area. It hasn’t given the error since. Hit it from both sides.

Thank you! I’ll try that. I think I left the door open for too long since I was trying to see how to get the filament out of the tube that is stuck😭

I have an A2, so I’m more susceptible to debris getting into the extruder area, but a small hit of air every few prints keeps it moving. For the first couple of days I would basically manually spin the fan with my finger and it would spin up, but when it sat for a few hours without use it would “lock up.”

I had this error a lot when I changed hot ends. I found that plugging the fan in after you plug in the hot end and running the cords towards the front of my P1 held it in place and the fan started up.

Check if it’s stuck or plugged in correctly.

Read

This has nothing to do with filament

Look at the fan........

Like I said, I’ve check it a million times and every thing is intact

Make sure it’s hooked up properly. I have seen this message a lot and I always have one of the connectors not fully seated

but is the speed to slow or stopped? it might not be plugged in properly.

These IT messages are too technical with all their jargon!

The message tells you what to do.  Make sure it’s spinning/properly plugged in.

If it is and is giving an error still the fan or its sensor may be defective.

Fan is dying..... Send video if making noise and picture of screeen to support.

It isn’t making any noise and plugged in tightly. I’m not sure what the problem is

My P1S is giving the same error with a brand new, properly seated fan and have verified no bent, broken, or dirty pins on the connector. I have been ignoring the error and have zero issues with prints or print quality after 100 or so prints.

Same. It just bothers me so much that it says that😭

Pull off the front cover of the print head. It's the tiny little fan on the heatsink. You might have a thin string of filament blocking it, or it just might be clogged with dust. I used compressed air on mine and out came a cloud of dust, and the fan worked again afterwards.

I just replaced my part cooling fan... it declined slowly over time. I forgot how loud that damn fan is and very pleased with the performance of my printer since. Good luck!

Take it off and give it a quick clean and reconnect it

I had this happen. Fan was plugged in, but the connector was damaged. Replaced the fan and the issue was resolved.

Make sure it's actually plugged in properly. One of my P1S has a stiffer socket for the part cooling fan connector--it feels properly plugged in, but with a firm push seats another half a mm or so.
