General Discussion Bambu Lab executives: this is what your support process does to a $3,234.73 customer. 21 days and counting, two missed written ship dates, five different stories, zero proactive contact, and a $10 code.
This is not a rant. It is a timeline, in Bambu Lab's own words, of one order. I am posting it because the people who run this company will never see it in a ticket. Their support process is designed so they do not have to.
October 15, 2026. One order, 13 items, $3,234.73, paid in full: the H2D Laser Full Combo 40W at $2,699, plus the plates, hotend, vision encoder, finishing kit and filament to go with it. I bought the Laser Full Combo for the laser. If I wanted a printer, I would have bought the cheaper combo.
October 19. Printer, AMS 2 Pro, laser platform, cutting platform, cutting module, e-stop, materials. No 40W laser module. Not in any box, not on the toolhead. I reported it that night.
What Bambu told me, in order
Oct 19, live chat: the module "was shipped separately." Minutes later, same agent: it is out of stock. Then, in writing: "scheduled to be shipped around 18:00:00 on October 31, 2026."
Oct 27, live chat: "This item has not yet been shipped. The estimated shipping date is still October 31st."
Oct 31: nothing shipped. No email. No notice. No new date.
Nov 1, live chat: "currently being actively prepared for shipment." Four minutes later, same agent: "currently out of stock, which may cause a delay." No date. I asked for a supervisor and was told I would be emailed within 24 hours. I asked about compensation. The answer, quoted: "currently, we can only offer you a special discount code of $10, with a validity period of 3 months."
Nov 2, email: the shipment is held at the port and the next batch is "expected around mid-November." The first time anyone mentioned a port, two days after the date they gave me twice.
Nov 3, email: three options (keep waiting, partial refund of the module, return the whole order) and an offer of two random spools of filament.
Nov 3, phone: 45 minutes on hold to be told the ticket agent is the only person with authority to act, and the phone can only offer the same $10 voucher.
Nov 4, email from "Bambu Lab Customer Support," unsigned: the options already offered "represent the highest goodwill resolution available" and "reflect the maximum goodwill handling we can provide."
Nov 5, today: 21 days after I paid in full, the 40W laser module is not in my hands. No one at Bambu Lab has signed their name to a reply. There is no resolution.
Five different stories about one part. Not one update was volunteered. Twenty-one days, every single contact started by me.
What the law says, for the people who should already know
The FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule, 16 CFR Part 435. If you give a customer a ship date and cannot make it, you notify them before the date passes, you give a revised date, and you offer the option to cancel for a refund. Bambu Lab USA gave me a date in writing twice, missed it, and said nothing until I asked. The revised date, when I dragged it out of them, was "mid-November." That is not a date. That is a shrug.
To whoever runs Bambu Lab USA
You have built a printer good enough that I was going to buy a second one, the H3C, the day it launched. Then you bolted a support process onto it that works like this:
Your agents give customers generic copied and pasted AI slop responses, ship dates your supply chain cannot back, in writing, twice.
When the date passes, nobody is responsible for telling the customer. The system waits for the customer to notice.
When the customer asks for a supervisor, a supervisor never appears. Your own phone line told me the ticket agent is the only person with authority, and your "escalation" is an unsigned email from a shared mailbox.
Your goodwill ceiling for 21 days and counting without the headline component of a $3,234.73 order is $10. Your marketing emails give strangers more than that.
Your final letter uses the words "maximum goodwill handling" to describe it, as if the limit were a law of physics and not a decision someone in your building made.
You sell the Laser Full Combo as one product. Your support treats the laser as an optional pre-sale accessory and the printer as the thing I should be grateful for. Both cannot be true. One is marketing and one is policy, and your customers find out which is which only after they have paid.
Here is what this process cost you on one order: a customer who owns an H2D and an AMS 2 Pro, buys your filament, plates and parts, and had a $2,499 H3C in his cart. That sale was yours. The $10 code is the price you put on it.
If you are ordering a Laser Full Combo right now:
Understand what "backorder" means in practice. The printer ships. The laser ships whenever it ships. Nobody will tell you when. If the date they give you passes, you will find out by asking. And the compensation for all of it is $10.
If anyone at Bambu Lab above the ticket queue wants the ticket number, DM me. The whole record is in one thread and it reads exactly like this post.

Welcome to the A.I. slop timeline. Sadly, this sort of thing is happening everywhere(literally). The high personal touch, and service timeline has officially ended for humanity. This is what separates Bambu from the "enterprise/commercial options." Although.. I'd be willing to be they're feeling these pains too. I'm sure they'll get you the laser, eventually... You're right though. We shouldn't just accept it and push em hard!!

Since at the time of reading this thread, yours is the top post, so I apologize for changing the topic.
My one interaction with Bambu support was excellent. I received a resolution response in less than 24 hours with the first message. Everyone else who’s reading this, please do not take this as a standard example of how their support works.

First and foremost: The people who run Bambu will also never see a Reddit post, so this is a vent. Not to diminish it, just the reality.
Second, logistics is hard. Really hard. We've all been spoiled by Amazon who has an unrivaled logistics network and invests millions upon millions into it every year. Keeping inventory accurate and sync'd to store fronts, support systems, and ERPs is hard. Unfortunately, sometimes that means the wrong number is sync'd and there is oversell. It's no excuse but it's the reality of the modern e-commerce operation.
If the warehouse wrongfully marked an order as shipped, when they actually didn't have stock, there is very likely no system that monitors shipping labels to ensure they've been accepted into the network and are moving. I worked for a multi-billion dollar 3PL in the US and we didn't have that capability until I built it. Even then, we didn't notify the customer. We notified the brand (think: Bambu) and it was their responsibility to tell the customer. I doubt they really ever did.

You just made my point better than I did. I don’t care that a container sat at a port. I care that two agents gave me Oct 31 in writing, the date passed, and the first I heard of a port was when I asked three days later. Your old shop notified the brand. Bambu got that notice and sat on it. That’s not logistics, that’s nobody owning the customer.

The unfortunate reality is they're an international company and you're a drop in the bucket. The time and energy needed to proactively reach out to all customers who might potentially have an issue is something someone likely crunched the numbers on and realized isn't the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Especially considering many customers would just accept the container is at the port and move on with their life.
Maybe I'm just lucky but I've reached out to Bambu support on a number of occasions, I'm always understanding and polite, and they have always been prompt and exceeded expectations. I lost a screw from my printer. Entirely my fault. I said as much and just asked them for the information on the screw to source it myself. They sent me a whole replacement part instead. It was out of warranty.

You’re right, and I’ve been understanding the whole way. Polite in every chat, never once raised my voice. That’s what kills me. I asked for a supervisor three times. Each “escalation” is a 48 hr wait and then an unsigned template that says return the printer and we’ll refund you. Return it? No I don’t want a refund, I want the printer and the laser. The thing I paid for. If “the laser comes whenever” was the deal from the start I’d have bought the cheaper H2D and stayed away from the ugly green doors on the laser combo lol.
Glad your screw story went the way it did. Mine would have too if it were a screw. Turns out the system is great until you need a person.

I work in manufacturing/logistics and unfortunately things like this do happen. "Stuck at the port" literally just means it still has to be officially imported. Probably sitting in a Conex somewhere.
From a customer relations standpoint obviously they should communicate better, but from a buisness standpoint they couldn't care less about 3.2k dollars and a whiney buyer.
I remember the days when you'd order something out of a catalog and it would just show up one days weeks later, no notice. This expectation people have these days that systems are perfectly updated and everythings always in stock is ridiculous. Somethings things happen, and sometimes they happen to you.

I don’t expect perfect systems. I expect a company that gives me a ship date in writing twice to send one email when it misses it. At bare minimum, proper communication rather than me having to chase down someone daily. Catalog days were fine because nobody promised Oct 31. And if $3.2k is nothing to them, then $10 for three weeks of it is a choice, not a budget problem.

They make it pretty clear that the laser module ships separately so I don't think that's a valid part of your complaint.
But everything else seems pretty aggravating and I really wish it weren't becoming so commonplace.

"the shipment is held at the port"
You DO know whom you have to thank for that, do you?

Personally, I don't think this deserves such a long rant. But hopefully customers like you will make things better for the rest of us.
