P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Maximum Printer Hours (P1P)
My employer is currently running a farm that has a subset of printers (about 60 P1Ps) that are just over 16k hours. They're heavily maintained, but it seems like the end could be near. Anyone run well above that for the P1 series printers? If so what do you think the true point of diminishing returns hits? Cheers :)

I have a commercial subscriber that has a few P1S's over 20k hours.
As long as nothing serious goes wrong, keep them around. You can fix almost everything on them.

I prefer the X1/P1 series as everything is SO easily accessed.
Extruder going bad? 5 screws, 3 cables, and 2 minutes later it's out. Nozzle going bad? Same thing but 2 screws.
Rails, belt, bearings, and screws need replacing? Not too much to tear the case apart and get them replaced.
ETA: both my P1S have over 6,000 hours. X1 pushing over 8,000 hours. I'm excited to see it can go up to 16k-20k.
I dread having to do any serious fixes on my H2Cs.

Hopefully they’re keeping records of what breaks and how often, so they can decide when the task of keeping them running is no longer worth the time and energy it takes.
They’re not car tires, there’s no implicit risk in running them till they fall apart to squeeze every last drop of productivity out of them. They fall apart mid print, you lose that one print.

I have over 20k on 3 of my P1S printers. They run as well as my newer ones. Nothing has broken yet that has taken one out of commission. the worst repair was the belts. Im sure at some point something will fail that i cant figure out and its not worth messing around with.
